Sharing Our Stories
Hear from our learning community who share their thoughts on leading, learning and playing at Clyde Hill Elementary School.
I like Clyde Hill because my children feel safe here. It feels like home. Every adult here is part of their life, and my children are happy to come to school.
At Clyde Hill, diversity isn’t just something we recognize – it is something we live and celebrate every day. It’s in the joyful laughter of our children, the greetings exchanged in many languages across our hallways, and the vibrant conversations that echo with stories from all over the world. Our families bring with them rich cultures, traditions, and experiences that make our community stronger, brighter, and more connected. Together, we create a space where every voice is valued and every background is honored – and that is what makes Clyde Hill truly special.
Our school is a place where students feel seen, supported, and excited to learn. We build community through daily morning circles, celebrate diversity with cultural events and identity projects, engage in hands on learning through STEM challenges, and creative literacy projects with our new ARC curriculum. Whether it’s small group support or collaborative activities, every student has a place to shine. Most of all, we love that our school is a place where everyone belongs.
Clyde Hill is a joyful, inclusive learning community where children, teachers and families come together. We’ve seen students take the opportunity to become leaders and help new members of the community feel welcomed and loved. It’s been beautiful to watch old and new friendships develop.
Watching kindergarteners use basic programming skills to move robots is an experience that you can only get in the Bellevue School District. The high-quality educational opportunities that our students have access to is only possible through the support of the community. The Bellevue Schools Foundation has been the key community partner to fund educational innovation in a way you can't find anywhere else in the state, so our students learn the skills to be 21st century thinkers starting in preschool.
